Wellington Florida

Wellington is a village located in Palm Beach County, Florida and has been named as one of the top communities in which to live in The United States. Wellington was incorporated as a municipality in 1996. Once site of the world's largest strawberry patch, in the 1950s, Wellington FL is today a unique planned community that host the biggest horseshow in the world, running from January through March each year.

While Wellington's national claim to fame may be horses and equestrian estates, the community is so much more. The extensive southern half of the community, which stands on the edge of the Everglades, remains an Equestrian Preserve Area, the first and only of its kind in Florida. Wellington is also home to exquisite golf course communities and unique neighborhoods such as the Aero Club, where the main road is a runway for private plane owners, or Palm Beach Point, a private exclusive community filled with hidden mansions.

A large number of recent Wellington residents are families with young children who want to take advantage of the schools in the area. Most of the schools are A-rated by the Florida Department of Education. Public schools are provided and managed by The School District of Palm Beach County. Many opportunities for advanced education are available, Universities, Community Colleges as well as private Colleges are located within a twenty mile radius from Wellington.

Wellington also has 57 miles of Equestrian Trails System. This trail system provides residents with opportunities for recreation, exercise and transportation through the community. The trails are designed for multiple uses such as running, biking, inline skating, pedestrian and equestrian activities.
